So, does anybody think this has anything to do with this?
Turns out, it’s not just us liberals President Bush has the capacity to piss off.
In other news, sorry my blog sucks lately. Hopefully I can do something about that soon.

Absolutely. Brannon Howse is pretty well-connected with the GOP (Tom DeLay, Michael Reagan, Dick Armey), as well as the religious arm that GOP is trying to influence (Dobson, D. James Kennedy, Michael Reagan, etc.), which leads me to think his site is less about religious wingnuttery than dressing up some particular flavor of politics in a Christian suit.

the fact that you elected this president (albiet, illegally) twice, even after his false rationale for war, soaring deficits, blantant lies, lies, and karl rove contradicts this statement. blind lummoxes. awkward, stupid people. and they call themselves followers of christ. i think i’m going to be sick.

I’ve yet to run into an issue that would make me consider leaving the Republican party, until this bed-wetting over illegal immigration–especially among the “Christian” right. Instead of thoughtfully considering how we can deal with the influx of our neighbors who are looking to better themselves, they raise the specter of Mexicans infecting our politics and our culture. Mexicans are the new gays for the Christian right. Somebody to fear and resent.
Repugnant, truly.

Zeke, please don’t leave the Republican party. You’re exactly what I need to remember when I find myself dehumanizing and derogating those folks–you’re a good reminder that all Republicans aren’t idiots.

This Marie Jon person…is she real or satire? I mean, could anyone who writes on a regular basis have this many grammatical errors in an article? Her bio alone made me laugh out loud.
“Marie is a columnists for…”
“She is posted as well as featured or guest writer whose work has appeared on many sites. To name a few includes…”
Then there’s her habit of using an apostrophe in plurals, as well at the end of her name…I don’t think anyone could have done a better job of making conservatives look like morons if they had intended to.
Sorry, I’ve been reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves.

We all got somethin’ to be holy and sanctimonious about. I’m a real reactionary when it comes to proper punctuation, pronunciation, penmanship, and pluperfect participials!!! Drives conservatives nuts to know they’re not the only squares in town.

I teach college writing, and I’m usually not the grammar Nazi, but the apostrophe used to create a plural annoys me probably more than the unsubstantiated and unreasoned patriotic (read “Republican) loyalty to America that they voice. And this column, in its treatment of “American’s,” manages to do both at once!!!!!!!

The real conservatives have not liked this president from almost the very beginning. Here are just a few of the things this president has done that make real conservatives made:
1. Lack of any real border security.
2. Expansion of federal role in education (a.k.a. Every Single Child Left Behind Act.)
3. Tinkering with the tax code and not making real changes.
4. Interventionist attitude and actions. (You will be hard pressed to find a real conservative who supports the Iraq war.)
I do have to add one thing. This president, no matter how horrible he had been, was elected legally twice. Every recount in Florida proved he won by a much wider margin than originally thought. He want round two easily. I wish had not, but he did.
5. Spending like a drunken sailor on shore leave.
6. Expansion of failed “free” (lets give it all way) trade agreements.
G.W. Bush has really angered those who are true conservatives. The neo-cons are not conservatives at all.

Given the grammatical skills of “Ms. Jon’” I have to wonder if she is a product of the “No Child Left Behind” school program. Or maybe she just writes curriculum for it.
My barber, in his not so gentle way, stated that “It was the Republican’s fault that there were so many illegal immigrants here anyway. They’re the people who hired the illegals as housemaids and gardners.” Oh well, at least he does a good job on my hair…

The Secret’s Out…
This essay pulls no punches and is highly critical of institutions that many Christians hold in high regard. Don’t be surprised if your blood pressure rises.
Salvation from hell is Christendom’s most advertised product. In a post titled “still ha…

Marie is an excellent writer. She also is effective. She is on radio. Maybe Fox will be her next destination. She speaks well for herself .Her beauty and a genuine loving personality is a plus.
