the year has finally arrived

Well folks, tis’ officially 2006. And, you know what that means. Yes, friends 2006 has a lot in store for many of us. For me, it will hold a whole boatload more graduate school, for others it will hold exciting new family situations, for others still I’m sure the road will be bumpy. But, whatever your 2006 has in store I’d like you all to consider including blogvention in your plans. I know that I haven’t had a whole bevy of new information about blogvention lately, but since the Festival of Faith and Writing (with which blogvention runs concurrently) came out with a tentative schedule, I thought I’d throw out a potential schedule myself.

So, I’m putting together a schedule. However, this schedule is to be considered exceptionally tentative. As stated before blogvention will take place April 20-22, 2006. Because I’m trying to not have any major conflicts between the festival of faith and writing and blogvention, there’s a bit of, well, emptiness in the schedule.

Here’s the plan:

From now till April 10th

Registration is open. If, sometime in the next few months, you would be so kind as to let me know if you’re coming to blogvention. Doing this will allow me to send you a blogvention identifyer. I just thought it’d be cool if there was something we could wear to recognize eachother, like a sticker or something, that’d be cool. I’ll need to figure out exactly what’s going on with this, but I’ve got a while to figure it out.

During the day sometime we’ll have some sort of meeting or something.
9:00 pm until the cops come - More drinking and perhaps a bit of hookah smoking somewhere…maybe my house.

Saturday, April 22, 2006

9:00 pm till last call - Merry making and so forth at a local taproom.

So, yeah, I don’t know exactly what’ll happen. You’re more than welcome to check out the blogvention forum and make suggestions about times, places, and other things you’d like to have happen, as well as ask questions about blogvention, or find out about finding a ride to Grand Rapids.
