Ok…now I have a bit of my own “dissent” to make. Finally I can bag on Dorsey….

I grew up with Al Denson (one of this events speakers) in the same church. We were in the same youth group and I have known him for as long as I can remember. I have worked with Al, speaking at youth events where he led the worship. He’s a fine man and an incredible musician.

You need to be more sensitive and caring before you bash someone and something you know NOTHING about. He’s led worship at events where countless teenagers have come to the love of Christ through crusades, camps and retreats. I for one cannot stand by and observe silently while you attack this man and his message.

    You’re a jerk Brandon.

    [pause] [pause]

Oh, who am I foolin’. [::scratching with MMM::]

    PASS THE PEE.

(Although the first part was true…. at least the part where I did grow up with him, worked with him at youth events, and he has done a buttload of camps, crusades and retreats where I think kids did come to Christ).

My bad I meant to say “bag on Brandon”….

But Dorsey is always an easy target.

    For how long? ;)

I “came to Christ” (whatever the heck that means) at one of those emotion manipulating convention type experiences.

It was cool, till I figured out that I was a number by which the success of the Convention would be judged.

I’m just messing with you, Steve, but this is an interesting phenomena…AND fodder for my next blog post!

I’m sure the comedy will be absolutely awesome. Who knew there were so many jokes that start with “So, two atheists walk into a room”

And, for the late show, (when the kids are in bed) they can get really edgy: “So, two atheists walk into a bar”

    Anyways….

Souls saved is an unprovable metric, since we have no means of getting a heavenly headcount.

Since we can’t get that, maybe we need another way of measuring our progress.

One option would be: “are Christians making the world a better place for the poor, the sick, or the prisoner?”

Another option might be: “how big can we build our churches?”

Dude! They have entertainers with funny vests and bow ties and a screwed up bird puppet thing! How can that not be fun???

Okay, I almost choked on my sarcasm there.

I hear pee-pee is actually not bad for you.

    You rock, Brandon.

But can I just scrub my face with pee instead? I hear that’s actually supposed to be good for you.
