Hear hear. It bothers me when people forget that Christ never listed the sin, “I was wrong, and you did not correct me.” He said, “I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.”

Truth is they should get out of the ivory tower, be part of the ‘world’, watch the movie, and while out in ‘the world’ they might just notice poverty and social justice issues.
We are far too protected from seeing need. It is subcontracted to agencies and church ministries so we don’t need to be involved.

Religion is a crock of shit,Jesus and mohamad and all those other dogooders arnt comming back because they dont exist.It’s all a cop-out because the real truth is humans are not the smartest tool on the planet.I wonder how many animals on the planet have a saviour story going around the meatworks yard.For whatever reason,we live we die,the more we eat the more that dies.Darwins theory of evolution dosent include over-breading as a species a problem,but it is!!We have eaten every animal to the point where we have to bread it to sustain us for food in a way that procedes the good shepard theory that “GOD” wanted us to undertake.If there was such a thing as GOD he would have stepped in by now.The problem is not ,Christians not Islamists not Hindus not Jews not Catholics not buddists,it’s not leftwing,right wing,comunist,socialist or any other list.It’s fucking humans.And at the top of the food chain we are responsable.WHAT PISSES ME OFF,Is that as humans we cannot admitt it,we dont need to fix it for the long term because indervidually we are only here for the short term.I love beef steaks,I love pork chops and lamb,and there is nothing like the scream of a fresh vegie’s being plucked from the garden in the morning.But I do hate the fact that humans,as a species of higher intelligence cannot blame themselves for the shit this world is in.

Hey Kevin,Just because I’m not the best speller in the tool shed dosent mean Im not right!!!But I guess ya just saying that at best were all just animals.The only thing ya dont mention is that “Most animals,besides humans,dont profess to being the dominant race !”But apparently they use SPELL CHECK.Question,If humans were so smart,why would they need SPELL CHECK.And if they did use it,it would only be to hide their indervidual inadequacy”I had help on that spelling!”.I have apparently a below average education and Im no graduate of any educational instatute but do think Im a bit sharper than some that are.Lengthen your reply and lets debate.”Friendlyness assured!!”Glenn.

There’s not much to debate. I just found your comment ironic and amusing. It has nothing to do with education per se. But, as a general rule, if you want your ideas to be taken seriously, it helps if you don’t misspell multiple words.

Kevin,We are both part of the “Dominant Species”I am not on what most would define as the higher level of intelligence,but,I am adaptable as humans are.What is Ironic is that the powers that be, are not,even though they are human.They live and rule “For the moment”not the long term.What is amusing is the fact that the powers that be have set the guide lines of society and rules by which we are governed in such a maner that we have no say regardless of overall opinion.Our needs have grown so much that as Intelligent humans we tend to overlook the the fact that the earth is becoming less sustainable,we blame this and that for all the problems,we do this and that for the short term fix,and in the longrun we have to do it all over again.The reason I think religion is a crock of shit is because to many people of many denominations are expecting their preffered “Godly leader”To step in at the last moment to “Save the world”And if you are amoung the faithfull everything will be honkydory.Personal choice is great indervidually but on mass it can be very detrimental.2006,Toyota camray,5 different colour patterns,3 choices of sport pacs,2 different motors!!!!!.Whats the point?It’s transportation.Personal choice.People that max out their credit card with no hope of ever repaying it are living beyond their means,This is what is happening to the world on a global scale.We are maxing out our own existence.Hey for me,its no problem,I’m 48 and wont be around in 50 years.How old are you Kevin? And what do you forsee if you are?I really find It amusing that we are the dominant race and ironic that we are killing ourselves in the proccess.Australia,It’s a great place!!,Where the fuck are ya?Glenn.

They close their minds and doors to anyone not from a large and long WASP (or, perhaps, Chinese so long as they stick to thier own churches) Christian heritage with long family trees and multiple intertwining (read incestuous) Christian dynasties. Resulktingly, they don’t know anyone who actually lives life in the real world, fighting the good fight without mummy or daddy or wifey or hubby holding thier hand. So they know nothing about real life and have to invent issues.
